A territory is made not only of soil, microclimate, and crops, but above all of people, customs, and the places where they gather and come together. Lison has a true and ancient history, which we experience today in our own way, where places matter not only for what they produce, but also for the sense of community that sets them apart. We like to experience them firsthand and tell you about them through our wine glasses.

Caorle

Have you ever seen a bell tower right by the beach? Or enjoyed a wine tasting on a seaside stroll? Caorle can offer you all this! In summer, it’s a colorful, lively destination, where the traditional houses recall Venice’s most enchanting islands, but in the winter months it welcomes you with its locals, fishermen, and hoteliers, who blend into the cool tones of the winter sea, and together we open the finest bottles and enjoy hearty feasts of fish.

Portogruaro

A leaning bell tower, waterways that cross the small and intimate town center, markets and neighborhood festivals, such as the Dogi festival in autumn. For us, living in Portogruaro means finding a special kind of place, where you can spend your days at your own pace, admire charming corners while enjoying a generous aperitif, have long chats in small restaurants while choosing one of the many traditional dishes of the region, and then work it off with a stroll down the main street.

Venice

An unusual Venice, when we sit along the banks of the basin sipping a spritz and watching ferries and water taxis go by, or when we climb aboard the «tope» that create makeshift bridges to the Redentore during the most atmospheric fireworks festival in the world, or when we sit under the benches in the little squares watching off-leash dogs wander around and children chase each other after school lets out. Or maybe when we tackle steep steps that lead to hidden rooftop terraces, from which a breathtaking panorama opens up, or treat ourselves to a playful «bacaro tour» with a group of friends. This is the Venice we love: off the beaten path and away from the best-known streets, full of real people and unforgettable places.
